baking is easy...?

so... I found a great website called One Charming Party, http://onecharmingparty.com/.  there are such fun ideas for throwing a memorable kids party, plenty of DIY stuff as well as templates.  i was inspired by the art party and will definitely be incorporating some ideas for Ami's special birthday next month.

I tried out the rainbow cake for a recent preschool bake sale... as practice for the birthday next month.  turned out very pretty but what a total PAIN!  i'm not sure i'm willing to do it again for the big day.  here are some photos of the process and the final masterpiece...
